Closure: Underneath it ALL

Underneath it all,
What does it really mean?
Is it me or is it you?
Is it you or maybe we?
Were we as accepting,
As we claim?…

Better yet did we see
What we wanted?
Or desperate in need,
Did we feed egos?
Such not to bruise
A time untold.
Of lonely tunes unsung.

T’was it better to dream’
Than be accepting?
Still yet did we see…

Asking of ourselves,
To play along
And feed the fun.
Missing out on journeys,
Desired separately,
Needed to feel whole.
Worried about shame.
Regret in risks for chance.
How we’ve forced to accept…

Yet did we see;
Where for only time could tell,
What true hearts set out to gain?
Despite where minds wanted to lie.
Underneath it all…

Crying to reach a point.
Unmarked treasure,
Believed to be.
Formed in time.

Using any passageway,
To scratch an urge.

Untrue to selves.
Blinded by pillars?
Lighted with hope;
Resloution’d form quietly.
Screams’d whisper mutedly,
Of things failed to accept,
We did see, yet
Left it all underneath.
